Founded in 2014, Gralen is a dedicated business strategy consultancy, specialising in assisting SMEs in building out scalable fractional strategies, and guiding and coaching leadership teams to grow rapidly in the ever-evolving domain of ecommerce and omnichannel retailing.

With a primary focus on supporting South African businesses to just be and do better, our established track record demonstrates our success in helping them improve their operations and elevate their offerings.

Our core objective is to empower our clients to unlock new revenue streams through a diverse range of strategies. We excel in launching new brands, implementing effective sales strategies, supporting teams to deliver at their true potential, and where needed, implementing effective turnaround plans for potential strategic acquisitions.

In 2020, Gralen launched their distribution arm to help launch new products into local markets, soon followed by their venture capital arm providing funds to customers where needed.

GRANT WEBSTER FOUNDER AND CEO

Guided by the experienced leadership of Grant Webster, a pioneer in retail and ecommerce and who honed his expertise in big box retail with Massmart (Walmart SA) as well as playing a pivotal role as a founding executive for South Africa’s #1 eCommerce retailer (Takealot.com). Currently Grant maintains fractional CEO, COO, and board roles across across several sectors within various South African SMEs.

Grant is an inspirational and energising leader, who has over the years been instrumental in both driving positive organisational and brand changes as well as conceptualising and executing on various strategic projects that moved the businesses under his leadership to scale.

Grant was born in South Africa, reasonably travelled, educated in KZN, now residing in Cape Town, is English speaking with conversational Afrikaans, and has been exposed or worked with most of the major productivity and ERP systems in varying degrees.

Outside of his diverse business interests, Grant enjoys mentoring start-up entrepreneurs, holds his own on a basketball court, and for down-time spends time paddling in the local bay.
