FAILING BACKWARD OR FAILING FORWARD

Leadership is hard… Especially when failure knocks at your door, and that’s really inevitable and unavoidable. The question is, what do you do with it?

Some fail BACKWARD. Others fail FORWARD.

The difference? Ask yourself…

❌ If you fail backward, do you…
  • Blame the market, the team, the timing?
  • See failure as defeat?
  • Hide the mess, avoid the lesson?
  • Get stuck. Stay safe?
  • Quit after one setback?
✅ When you fail forward, you:
  • Own it.
  • Learn from it.
  • Share it.
  • Adjust fast.
  • Go again, smarter this time.
If you’re leading a team:
  •  Start normalising failure.
  • Reframe it.
  • Talk about it.
  • Make it safe to try, and safer to fail.
