BE THE ONLY

A number of years ago I adopted this mantra for myself and I try to encapsulate it in everything I do. In my business, with my partners, with my teams, with my mates, with my family, on the court, in the ocean, with my Easter treats.

Whether you’re a master strategist, a creative thinker, or a connector extraordinaire, your distinct abilities are what make you indispensable. Combining these effectively makes you an ONLY.

And being the ONLY is more than just about what you bring to the table – it’s about who you know and how you collaborate.

It’s not about being the best at what you do; it’s about being the ONLY one who can do it.
  • Your way!
  • Your quirks!
  • Your experiences!
  • Your perspective!
  • All of which contribute to your individuality.

So,
  • Don’t try and outperform everyone else;
  • Leverage your strengths to carve out your niche;
  • Create your own value in a way that only you can;
  • Don’t strive to fit into someone else’s mould of success;
  • Embrace what makes you different and what makes you unique;
  • Provide access to resources and opportunities that others can’t replicate;
  • Cultivate relationships, foster collaborations, put your network to good use.
  • Own your expertise, even if it doesn’t fit the conventional definition of success;

Dare to be the ONLY in a world obsessed with being the best. Because in the end, it’s not about winning the race – it’s about running your own path.

You know what to do. Go be the ONLY!
