DO YOU HAVE SOMEONE IN YOUR CORNER?

“If the room you’re in doesn’t have someone in your corner, change rooms.”

Have you ever found yourself in a space where it feels like you’re walking on eggshells? Where support is scarce, collaboration is rare, and even your smallest victories seem to go unnoticed?

It’s a heavy place to be. Yet, too often, we stay in these “rooms” and these environments, groups, or situations out of habit, fear of change, or the belief that we must prove ourselves to others.

Here’s the truth:
  • You deserve to be surrounded by folk who celebrate your wins, big or small.
  • You deserve spaces where constructive feedback helps you grow, not tears you down.
  • You deserve a corner filled with people rooting for you, not doubting you.

It’s not about always seeking comfort or avoiding challenges as growth happens outside of comfort zones. There is though a big difference between being challenged to improve and being undermined or unvalued.

But… Changing rooms isn’t always easy.

It might mean leaving a job, a partnership, or even a long-standing network. However, stepping into a space where you’re valued, supported, and inspired can change everything.

So ask yourself:
  • Is the room I’m in pushing me to become the best version of myself?
  • Do I feel heard, respected, and appreciated?
  • Are there people here genuinely in my corner?

If the answer is “no,” take a deep breath and know it’s okay to move on. Your potential deserves a place to thrive. And I expect there’s a room out there waiting for you. One filled with people who see your worth, amplify your voice, and celebrate your presence.

Be brave enough to find it #yougotthis
