IT’S NOT WHO YOU KNOW, IT’S WHO KNOWS YOU

A few inspirational folk have shown me the way here and while taking my usual stroll on the beach, I framed my thoughts on the fly

(IYKYK 😉):

❇️ Clarity beats volume: Be crystal clear about who you help and how, and leave visible trails for them to follow that show who you are…

  • ➡️ Posts that are authentic, real, and genuine.
  • ➡️ Conversations that are interesting, and keep them interested.
  • ➡️ Comments that provide value, not likes.

❇️ Give first, with intent: Actually chatted about this in a mentoring session yesterday.

  • ➡️ You have to show up consistently, and not when you feel like it.
  • ➡️ Add value in public, and don’t be afraid to be a voice for those in need.
  • ➡️ Connect people without expecting anything back.

❇️ Follow-through builds reputation. The person who does what they said they would quickly becomes the person others talk about…in rooms you’re not in.

  • ➡️ Reply with depth. Give yourself the time to “write the shorter letter”.
  • ➡️ Deliver on your promises. Your SAY:DO ratio can’t suffer.
  • ➡️ Close the loop, and connect them to others.

Credibility compounds when others see you helping when no one’s watching. There’s more than you know.

  • Take the time to make meaningful connections.
  • Get to know them.
  • Let them get to know you.
  • Make a difference together.

If someone had to describe you in one sentence, could they?
