NOT EVERYTHING IS WORTH FIXING

If you know me, you will attest to the fact that I am wired to solve problems. I see something broken, and my instinct is to fix it. While I haven’t quite got it right, I’m learning that not everything is quite worth the effort.

Some things drain time, energy, and resources without delivering real value, and some battles just aren’t worth fighting.

So far this year, I have come across people…
  • Wasting time trying to fix things that are fundamentally broken.
  • Investing time and money into something just because they’ve already started.
  • Making bad decisions and watching how it slowed their personal and professional growth.
  • Resisting change because “this is how it’s always been done”.
  • Wasting energy on winning arguments instead of finding solutions.
  • Focusing on fixing symptoms instead of addressing root causes.

My biggest lessons?

A fresh perspective can reveal when to pivot instead of repair, and… Not everything is worth fixing. Know when to walk away. Move on.
