YOUR OWN PERSONAL BOARD MEETING

Reflecting on the past week as we prepped month-end numbers, I was reminded that a while back I came across this practice that I do as part of my own personal month-end and check-ins with myself. This has certainly helped me keep focussed and to measure myself to my own ruler, and not someone else’s.

Here is what you need to have in place for your own personal board meeting:

  • Review & Reflect: Take a moment to examine the achievements and lessons from the previous month, identifying insights to carry forward.
  • Realign & Refocus: Revisit long-term objectives and aspirations, both personal and professional, ensuring that your daily efforts align with progress.
  • Strategise & Action: Identify and define fresh actions and methodologies that can be implemented in the coming month to maintain your course.
  • Implement & Optimise: Who do I need for what? Where can I improve their skills? And how?

Find a quiet spot. Make notes. Be critical. Be decisive. Create the habit!
