I HELPED A MAN CLIMB A MOUNTAIN AND FOUND THAT I TOO HAD REACHED THE TOP

Seems like all I have been doing recently is climbing mountains. Some are steep, others are rocky, and a few seem insurmountable. But every so often, I come across someone else on their own climb.

That’s when I stop!

It’s not that I have all the answers or that their journey mirrors mine…it’s that we all climb better together.

I get a real kick from helping someone navigate their own mountain and it doesn’t take away anything from my own progress. In fact, it often leads to insights and perspectives I wouldn’t have gained otherwise.

How I do it?
  1. I offer a hand 🤝, sharing advice or a resource that helped me navigate a similar challenge.
  2. I become a guide 🧭, listening to their goals and helping map out a path forward for them.
  3. I cheer them on 🎉, celebrating their milestones. No matter how small.
  4. I walk beside them 👣, present when needed. Even quiet support can make their journey less daunting.

What I’ve realised is that every time I stop to help someone climb, I’m reminded of the strength and determination it takes to rise. I’ve gained wisdom, forged connections, and discovered that the view is far richer when shared.

So, who are you helping climb today? And who’s helping you climb?
